Starting October 1, join Argent and When We All Vote for the #VotingSuitsYou campaign

#Firestarters, it’s time to think pink.

Earlier this year, I shared the story of Sali Christeson and Argent, the clothing brand she founded. Argent doesn’t just create work clothes that look and feel great. They also work passionately to uplift women. In that article, I mentioned that Argent had a special campaign in the works for this year’s election. Those plans are now gearing up, and let me tell you — I am STOKED. The best part? We can all get involved.

 

Argent has launched the third and biggest iteration of its #VotingSuitsYou campaign, a nonpartisan initiative to maximize voter participation in the upcoming election. And they have quite a partner: When We All Vote. Founded by Michelle Obama, When We All Vote promotes voter registration and civic engagement. I had the privilege of partnering with them firsthand in my Head of Social Justice Policy role at Amazon. I must tell you, they are genuinely firestarters and movement makers. 

 

Once again, Argent’s iconic pink suit takes a starring role in the campaign. Plus, they’re launching some new bright pink styles, including a unisex “ally” suit. Why pink? As Argent puts it, pink is “the timelessly bold expression of the enthusiasm, joy, and cross-generational power we collectively bring to the polls.”

As someone who calls her home the “pink palace,” I’m definitely ready to join in this campaign starting October 1. If you’d like to join me, here’s what to do:

  1. Wear pink! Don your Argent pink suit, pink shirt, tshirt, or sweatshirt (as I plan to) or any other “unapologetically bold and joyful pink outfit” that you plan to wear to the polls.
  2. Post an image or video of yourself to social media, using #VotingSuitsYou.
  3. And wear it again. I will be rocking my gear ALL month, ya’ll!

Everyone can join in the #VotingSuitsYou movement. So let’s turn social media pink. to stand in solidarity with all women and to celebrate the power we all have to shape democracy.
